I agree with you. However, just because we haven't got our act together doesn't mean we just give in and let the world's worst countries acquire nuclear weapons. I think we need to work on ourselves in parallel to stopping proliferation. Of course, we'd be so much more effective at using diplomacy if we'd work on ourselves first, but failing that, I'd really rather we use our military to stop Iran from getting nukes. Any country whose President openly talks about wiping another country off the map, simply can't be trusted with nuclear weapons.
