Terrible - why dont more get outraged and fix this? If the drugs werent around to take - less of a problem eh?

Why do you give crack whores money for sex? Don't you realize it is equivalent to handing them a gun to kill themselves?

Demand will always find a supply. Drug use always has to be primarily attacked from the demand side, with treatment and education. This doesn't mean that easy supply doesn't matter, the easiest drugs to get a hold of are the legal ones like tobacco and liquor, so consequently they claim the most lives. Education efforts on the evils of tobacco use are finally making some serious inroads even though smoking still claims an enormous number of lives.

Most Americans see it as a right to be able to use and abuse drugs. They see the war on drugs as wasteful and largely a failed policy....especially after they've smoked a few joints and had a few beers.
