Heh, we all cherry pick data, don't you think? I see the world through my eyes, but I try to walk a mile in your moccasins. I heard an interview with Kurt Vonnegut today. He wrote a book about how when machines did all of our work most people would be given an allowance and become full time consumers so they would have something to do. The interviewer asked him if he though that was coming true: "Haven't you been paying attention?" was Vonnegut's reply.

Our paychecks are not getting any bigger, but machines and chinese do the work for cheap, so we can buy more doo-dads. We get an allowance, but we have to do our chores, like keep shop, handle money, or take xrays. Those things that the machines or chinese don't do get more expensive, but I heard Wal-Mart is getting into banking soon? I just hope I stay on the good list and my allowance doesn't get cut.
