I don't think trying to exclude the idea of fairness from the proposal, from the criteria for the proposal, or from the discussions about the proposal gets you anywhere fast either.

This post made me think of someone I knew from many years ago on dial in BBSs. He was a sysop of a site I dialed in to. His alias was "Nowhere Fast" or "Nowherefast". I used to spend a lot of time on dial in BBSs years ago.
