Etch, if nanotechnology quantum device processes can be
developed with a fast enough production thruput (hopefully
due to simplified substrate/device processing techniques)
there may not be a requirement to even develop larger
substrates. We must think out of the box....a completely
new technology is on the short/intermediate term horizon
that will totally change the requirements for advanced
chip device fabrication. I'd rather see development efforts
and R&D money spent developing the next generation
technologies than trying to stretch legacy processing techniques ad infinitum.
