Having it in for the west does not automatically mean that post settlement of their issue with Israel in some fashion, that they wont determine at that point that they need the US or that the US is preferable to the Talibanist wahabis which Hamas is not. Same with iran as well. We need a far more subtle fp that takes advantage of these differences or at least tries to. Doesnt mean we should be tough when they continue to be terrorists, just that we should concentrate on the real enemy, al quaeda. Of course nuclear iran moves up the list if they go that route. mike
