I have a simple question for the group.

What was the rate of return for
1) the Dow Jones Industrial Avg. and
2) the S & P 500
for the calendar year of 2004? (Without dividends).

And, where do I get this information if I misplace my beginning of the new year copy of the WSJ or Barrons?

I thought there was a relatively easy and straightforward answer until I tried to get this information off the internet and was bombarded with a bunch of financial advisors/publications/hacks/mystics/etc trying to sell me their products. UGH.
