Minority Govt., they have to answer to the Liberals, NDP and the separatist Block Quebecois or they'll be kicked out. They wont do anything rash. I wouldn't call it any swing to the Right in Canada. It's mostly just a protest vote against the Liberals, who have been perceived to be acting arrogantly.

Conservative means different things in different countries. In the US, it means deficit budgets, illegal immigration, suspension of personal liberties etc. In Germany we know that the conservative Vice Chancellor disagrees with Bush on Gitmo and she was very open about it. Would be interesting to see what the Canadians consider conservative to mean besides having them work with the Liberals in forming a Govt.
