dstange, newspaper stocks: I'm watching GCI and TRIB. By last month I had sold both for tax losses. Somewhere around here, my 31 day wash-rule avoidance ends, and I'm considering going back into both for a few shares. The companies are profitable (cash flows), but the internet just keeps eating away at them. Newspaper reading I see as a habit, and it doesn't appear to be instilled in the younger generation. Plus, maybe any growth is in newspapers other than English and where competitors already exist.

The business isn't going to disappear (imo); somewhere there's a bottom to the stock prices; right now these stocks feel like they're value traps...maybe they are.
