The problem with the wikipedia is that up until recently, anyone could edit an article. So some articles are slanted, although most are quite good.

mindmeld has a point in that the majority of terrorism in the world today is by muslims and often against muslims. Currently, Israel and Iraq have the majority of incidents, but there is a flicker of it all over the world. As I pointed out to him, the common thread is when one group is oppressing one or more other groups. It probably says more about the type of governments that exist in those countries than anything about the religion itself. For example, the Russia/Chechnya situation. Or the Sri Lanka/Tamil one. And how can one forget Northern Ireland? Or the Quebecois? By his measure, Catholicism must have a culture of death also.
