Brian, they probably said the same thing when the automobile
was invented, the airplane was invented, nuclear technology
was invented, and it was impossible to actually walk on the moon.
All it takes is for someone to set and establish the
standards and make a profitable model that makes sense and
do it. Ask Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse,
Gordon Moore, Jim Morgan, Henry Ford....etc, etc. There are
leaders and then there are wannabe's. The leaders will
make a strategic decision and make it happen and everyone
else will scramble not to get left behind. There will be
squabbling of course, and different alternative solutions
will arise, but there will be a paradyme shift. It is the
nature of inventive development and business opportunity to
be revolutionary, IMO.
