I don't know whether any of you waste your time watching the try outs for American Idol but if you want some good laughs it's worth it. I can only take one night and will not watch tonight's program. However what is so mind blowing are the number of young people who come to try out, how terribly they sing;they think that they can. Also, their demeanor and costumes.. It resembles what in Barnum/Bailey days was a side show. Maybe they pay these young people to come and try out to just make it a good show. But it is also depressing to me to watch what one might term our youth if this is at all representative.. I have been retired for over 20 years and maybe out of the loop too long to know.
