That's a cute idea. The U.S. Current Account Deficit is not too high -- if you assume dramatic growth in future U.S. income.

Its like saying the debt levels of those with debt payments, which exceed their ability to pay, are ideal and they're far from bankrupt --

-- if you assume they will soon receive a sudden large inheritance or a whopping pay rise.

Its called "magical thinking" and is quite common among those with addictive personalities. Grace, as an example, is a walking demonstration of magical thinking.
