I believe in the rule of law. I also accept and support the idea that constitutional law sets the legal boundaries for the state.

I don't think that means that constitutional use of force is automatically not capricious, but whether it is capricious or not really wasn't the issue as far as I am concerned. If it is capricious that would be bad, but if it isn't capricious it doesn't change or refute anything I said.

“deadly force” is CRIMINAL beyond very narrow and defined boundaries. It is NOT “carte blanche” hunting season for the State.

Never said it was. Deadly force is only legally allowed in limited situations, however if you resist the enforcement of the law in a serious way those situations can easily arise.

But if you resist arrest and refuse to drop your offensive weapon (for instance)...THAT OFFENSE might well justify deadly force.

Yup, which would mean your resistance to the enforcement of the law might legally justify and cause deadly force to be used. Which is another way of saying that deadly force is behind the enforcement of laws. It doesn't mean that it will typically be used in the enforcement of laws, but rather that the threat of it is behind the enforcement attempts.

Also apparently Laz's initial argument with you was about the use of force in general not specifically deadly force. Force would get used earlier in the process than deadly force.
