(Just make sure that is a 'standard' request made of everyone who runs for President the next go-round and I'll have no problems with it.)

I don't care if he releases his original discharge or not, his congressional testimony in 1971 is enough.

What I would like to see is the request he submitted to the Military Board of Corrections. I understand it may have been to change the nature of his discharge. This did not occur until after he was a Senator, a person with influence.

You must also remember, long after he received his Silver Star, he was using his influence to rework the citation to beef it up.
