The key word in this study is "committed". That's why so many
people you deal with are impervious to all facts contrary to
thier ideology. They are "committed" to their political ideology
come hell or high water. The people in that study were all
emotionally attached to their political ideology.

Folks who are not "committed" left or right wingers are willing
to adjust their POV's as time & events unfold. That way their
POV's remain reality based because they are open to credible
evidence as it becomes available. These people are NOT
committed ideologues. They are rational, sober & reality
based folks. And yes Suma, folks like this exist in the real
world.
