Capstone Broadens NY Sales Team

CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 25, 2006--Capstone Turbine Corporation® (www.microturbine.com; Nasdaq:CPST - News), the world's leading manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, today announced additional personnel placements and a reorganization of its Northeast Sales team by naming Bruce Beckwith as its Regional Vice-President of Sales.

Beckwith will be responsible for Capstone's sales and service activities for the Northeast region of the U.S.

Beckwith joins the Capstone team from WESCO (Liberty Electric), where he was their Maspeth, Queens Branch Manager of Major Projects. Prior to joining WESCO, Beckwith worked for over 30 years in the New York electrical contracting industry.

"Bruce's specific experience and knowledge, developed in the New York City and Northeast US region, will further strengthen the Capstone team," said Capstone CEO John R. Tucker. "Bruce also enhances our growing sales relationship with WESCO in the New York market."

In addition to the appointment of Beckwith, Capstone also announced that Peter Giasemis has been appointed to the position of Director of Business Development, and that Allen McNair has been appointed to the position of Director of Government Sales. Giasemis has been with Capstone for one year and McNair has been with the company more than two years.

Capstone further announced the appointment of Michael Colavita as Vice-President of Program Management & Contracts for the Northeast region. Colavita will be responsible for working with installers and contractors to assist and support the timely execution of the installation of Capstone-based energy solutions in the Northeast region.

"Michael's 30 plus years of contract and program management expertise in nuclear and cogeneration power plants, as well as in the transportation industry, is an important addition to the Capstone team. I am pleased to welcome both Michael and Bruce to Capstone New York. I know with their addition to Capstone we will be in a position to support the opportunity that New York represents for 2006 and beyond," said Tucker.
