I don't think people are looking for the truth. They are looking for a system they are comfortable with. At root our political choice is an emotional choice - like the choice of what foods we like, or what we wear. We choose what fits us- and that's a preference, not a truth- at bottom (imo).

I didn't get that impression. My impression was that he was just addressing the pathological subset.
