I don't have any figures handy on the average physical take off. However, at least it should not be too difficult to find out from the COMEX and the LME. Dubai and TOCOM are likely also significant at this point.

One more thing to think about on the potential of your analysis. If we had had the same insight on the behavior of IAU as GLD, an arbitrage between the two might provide a pretty much riskless trade.
