"Did those 12 hour sales last Saturday have any effect?"

No, those 12 house sales number probably go into this quarter. I went to one in N. Ca and they have deposit on 13 houses and 1 sold (contract signed) on that Saturday. And they are selling 6 more on Sunday. The development has about 60+ houses. The interesting part is that the house are between 880K to 920K and the discount is only 40K (2300 - 2500 sq ft). Not clear if those who put down the deposit will complete the sales. Planned to check back in couple week to see how many signed the contract. Most of these house has options on it (so the first guy who bought them cancel the sales) and are schedule to complete by April and May..
