WOW!! Nice find Len!!

Never knew that the CEO (Gerhardt Westrick) of ITT was talking with Hitler every week. That's pretty damning information.

I bet that made for some very interesting voice intercepts!! ;0)

I wonder if those communications have been declassified? Most of that stuff should be accessible via FOIA after 25 years. There was a big push to declassify documents from that era and they would provide a wealth of historical information.

Here's some more information on what this site refers to as "Corporate Traitors".

Btw, International corporations provide a particularly awkward situation for US law. Can the US legally prevent subsidiaries of a corporation from pursuing business in the countries they are located in, even if that country is an enemy of the US?

I would say yes.. And I think either the parent corporation must be required to divest, or shut down their operations. However, such operations can also produce considerable intelligence information because they can provide insight into the state of the enemy's economy.

But calling Hitler is more than merely pursuing corporate interests. That's essentially collaboration with the enemy and should have been pursued legally (or by turning the CEO into an Allied agent who reports his conversations to American intelligence).
