It is basically a warlike game of stealing territory and protecting your own for military nogos. "Take the ball 100 yards that direction. Don't let them take it 100 yards this direction." That's not a thinking thing. The stronger, faster, more coordinated team wins. Even a guy with an IQ of 60, like Terry Bradshaw, can be one of the great field generals ever. Joe Montana and Joe Namath were also short of being rocket scientists. And the coaches just scam folks into thinking that winning is something they cause to happen. <G>
