I don't believe that the State Department has any record of attacks in the US by them, and State considers them a palestinian-only political movement. (Also quite fundamentalist, I believe.) You might compare them to some of the Columbian radical groups. Although their philosophies are COMPLETELY different, they both are tightly focused on their own regional desires (kinda like the IRA was/is... but with less global reach or desire for world-wide action).
