Plastic lumber is actually pretty cool. I just had deck done last year with a product form eon (eonoutdoors.com). We are really happy with it. Never again will I have to sand/spray and waterproof. My only complaint is that it doesn't like hot coals very much. Lumber like this has to have a whole system for installing and such. You know, special brackets, screws and other a sundry items. Does PLNI have all that also. What was their income last year? Where is all this stuff made?
