Mary's post was pretty clear to me. Have noticed you tend to struggle with interpreting philosophical posts. Sometimes you miss the bigger point because you tend to focus on details rather than the overall message. Sometimes you also miss the nuance.

I was not obsessing about how something should have been said, I was asking what someone meant. That seems to me to be a healthier response than to assume what someone meant when it is at all uncertain.

Sometimes the whole argument depends on those details. Get the detail wrong and the argument crumbles like a house of cards ran over by an elephant.
