Hamas won "about 70 seats," enough for a majority in the 132-seat parliament. So Hamas now forms the government? And take over funding from Fatah? They get the Euro money? And deal with Israel? It's going to be a fun year for the Pals and Israelis.

Hamas has won an outright majority wouldn't this be a direct result of the other party stealing all the money provided to them from u.s. eu etc. i understand billions of dollars missing. Hamas do not they not provide medical help, financial assistance to these people? perhaps they buy votes at the voting booth like democrats. oops

I GIVE UP!!! Isnt Hamas a TERRORIST ORGANIZATION? I thought the Palestinians, given a chance, would become a responsible Democracy and ultimately have their own state. YET, they elect A TERRORIST organization to represent them. Far as I am concerned USA should WASH ITS HANDS of this entire FIASCO and let the chips fall where they may. The Palestinians DO NOT DESERVE their own country. Seems the old King of Jordan knew that and took the only steps you can with them--ERADICATE THE PEOPLE. Whatever Israel does in the future with this "state" I am not gonna find fault. jdn
