Hi RE! Its great to have a couple firecrackers like EXN in the PF, but I do not confuse a percentage gain in trading, which can persist in hot market, with the overall long term potential of a company. Both MAG and EXN are probably getting ahead of themselves at this point and will likely have to correct sometime in the near future. However, consider that EXN is working one great deposit, while MAG controls several entire districts that could amount to much bigger discoveries than Platosa. The point of my little rant about MAG is that I am not just excited because it has made a big move in the last few weeks. What has me pounding the table is the fact that they are aggressively going after 4 separate projects as I write this, and two of them have recently posted results that are extremely high grade. If EXN stubs their toes and comes up with some disappointing results as they step out their new discovery, then what have you got? It would likely sell off rapidly as the traders that piled on bail out just as quickly. However, if MAG hits a dry hole or two, no problem, the next batch of results from the next property is just a few weeks away... And if both companies continue to find high grade ore, the upside for MAG is much greater based on the magnitude of their discovery. Thats how I see it. I have owned EXN in the past, and I have never really been a big fan of the company. It looks like they have their act together now, and the sector is hot, and the Platosa deposit is definately something special, so I would imagine it will continue to do well in the market. cheers!
