geenfield sites impossible to use.. do not understand.

major oil companies were forced to build in vz. because of "greenfield sites" if that is what you mean. no way to get permits to build a refinery. but then refineries were losing money for the last two decades. same with marketing part of international oil companies. only reason they kept them was to hold up price of their crude at fair market prices. they could process it through their own refineries and service stations vs selling on open market. But with ocaw , local taxes, looking for more and more , clinton adm which came out with no upgrades unless you upgrade whole refinery to new environmental standards major oils found carrying refineries was losing too much bottom line. thus they sold to smaller corporations which came in and cut workers by 2/3rds. all of sudden local folks woke up. deal with new owner or close the place. In the meantime we forced our oil companies to build in south america and refine a good portion of crude there at less political in fighting. Now that has come to hit them right between eyes.. good example xon fight with vz.

Still amazes me the short fall in ng when we got plenty, shut in, off carolina and florida coast. but special interest groups are keeping it shut in. Wonder when the poor and middle class will revolt over gas and heating payments and elect some representatives or senators who are for exploration?

too bad majority of voters are led around with a ring through their noses.
