I disagree. I never remember the Republicans being excluded from all conferences. I don't recall that the Democrats would refuse to meet with any petitioner or lobbiest who wasn't of the same party. The Cheney's and DeLay's of the Republican party are much meaner and corrupt than anything in the previous 40 or 50 years, and perhaps in the history of the country.
