DJ Mexican Homebuilder Ara Plans 4 Projects Worth MXN12.5B

.

MEXICO CITY (Dow Jones)--Mexican homebuilder Consorcio Ara SA (ARA.MX) said Thursday it is working on four construction projects that should generate 12.5 billion pesos ($1.2 billion) in revenue.

Two similar projects planned for the towns of Puebla and Tlalnepantla will involve more than 800 buildings with an average of eight floors each, the company said in a filing with the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Ara also plans to build nearly 2,000 residential houses in Metepec, and work on a golf-course community near Cuernavaca that was started around the middle of last year. That development will include 800 residential houses and 843 fairway lots, the company said.

Ara, one of the country's largest homebuilders, will release its fourth-quarter results Feb. 20.
