NEM wants to buy something. they even hinted as to WHERE exactly, namely in Ghana.
well, get your maps out and check who's who in Ghana. hint: i doubt they want to go for the biggest fish, due to misperceptions about its SA baggage. and AAUK hasn't sold its strategic stake just yet anyway.
that doesn't leave a lot of choices in Ghana as it were.

this stock has a yee-ha moment today. although it's up over 75% from its lows, it's actally STILL cheap. they're sitting on a huge polymetallic deposit ( primarily zinc-silver ) , and both zinc and silver are certainly in fashion these days.

i note HL and CDE have also decided to do as they were told.

No addition today. Still don't know what the premium was for today 26 Jan.

I am not knocking GLD, but rather just indicating that one might want to seriously acknowledge that not all the gold held by this and other gold ETFs represents new demand.

When I eventually do buy GLD shares, my demand will be new but some others have simply switched from one way of holding gold to using an ETF.
