I'm with you on the solar dish stirling projects
planned for the California deserts .. hopefully
the technology will prove to be viable on scale-up ..

Wind makes the most sense ( reliability ) sited
on our coastal regions to take advantage of predictable
afternoon on-shore breezes ( 12:00 - 6:00 pm every day
during the summers ); but will encounter NIMBYism most
everywhere proposed ie Cape Cod Wind LLC .. the 'rich'
don't want to see windmills from the bedroom window of
the "summer cottage" .. don'tcha know <gg>
