You are relying on a technicality at best and putting too much stress on that technicality is being "Clinton like" ("It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"). If I walk up to you point a gun and say 'give me all of your money, don't try any funny stuff or I'll shoot you' (this is effectively what a gov't does when ot seizes property for auction to satisfy nonpayment of taxes), and you reach for a gun and I shoot you, I was in some technical sense defending myself against the threat of deadly force, but I can hardly be considered to have really acted in self defense.

As you can tell just from this site alone, there are numerous Americans who object strongly to the Iraq war. What do you think will happen to them if they withold some portion of taxes the gov't says is due because they judge that amount is spent on the war?
