Well I see that Analysis as profoundly dumb. If the really stupid Palestinian voters have elected really stupid folks AKA terrorists, now they are is fully outed for all to see. You will not have halfass farts-are-us stinking up the place with lies and winking at terrorists.

Clarity is always great. That's pretty much it. How decent folks proceed will depend on how the stupid people proceed. And babbling taking heads will babble about how they cannot grasp how
traditional Western thinking cannot readily grasp whatever.

Analysis: Hamas Victory a Message that outs all the idiots who reside in the babbling talking heads profession.

"the landslide outcome stunned the Bush administration...."

This marked the SECOND ELECTION VICTORY for religious fundamentalist-backed Parties, after Iraq, in so many months.

"The administration is caught between Bush's clarion rhetoric about spreading liberty even in unlikely places and the reality that self-determination can yield results that appear counter to U.S. interests. That's a challenge the United States may have to confront someday in other places as well, including Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Central Asia, the Balkans and — closer to home — South America."

Yep.

You either support Democracy, or you don't. But supporting Democracy doesn't mean that people won't get elected that you don't like (supporting Dictatorships and Monarchies doesn't guarantee a favorable result either).

But, at least with Democracy, in the long-run you have the best chances for reform, development, and peace.

The key-when the bad guys get elected-is to wait them out until the people figure out that bad guys, throughout history, lose power because the are incompetent rulers.

In Venezuela and Iran we allowed the bad guys to get in through RIGGED elections, so they really don't HAVE democracy in those two places. The solution: apply outside pressure and be PATIENT.

This will also be the solution to Palastine. If Hamas tries to lock themselves in, a joint assault by US and Israeli forces will be required. Otherwise wait them out, and defend against any terrorism they may try to perpetrate.

Bush is being extremely negative toward Hamas because he has information that we do not have-and that information tells him that Hamas is up to no good. We should thus be prepared to burn Palastine off the face of the earth-and be sure that THEY are aware of it...
