For those that do not follow links, Cow's leads to NoScript which is an excellent FF extension. This and Adblock are, IMO, the two essential addon extensions for FF. I would note that NS also will block Flash if you so wish. I have used NoScript since it was first available and love it. My two cents LTBH

thecow, if you have the time: since I still have DNS problems and cannot access story.news.yahoo.com I added that address in my hosts file like this... 66.218.75.230 story.news.yahoo.com I'm using IE with this experiment since FF does not use the hosts file AFAIK. Got the numeric address by pinging story.news.yahoo.com It doesn't work, i.e. the link story.news.yahoo.com does not open but times out. what am I doing wrong? I didn't reboot after changing the hosts file
