The Father was on the Bill O'Reilly show where his actions were lauded.. There were offers from the Fox News to appear..

Naturally these fine media organisations have apologised for misleading their audiences, as prominently as their original publicity? And they're improving their fact-checking, and making all the other changes they demanded (say) the NYT do after it was found to have made mistakes?

The father deserves some of what he gets, but I can understand where he's coming from. IMO the daughter should be made to undergo the sentence that the teacher would have got... had he been found guilty.
