One problem, MSFT didn't IPO at 30 billion dollars.

For GOOG to go up 300 to 500 times from here would mean it would have around 20x the value of the entire GDP of planet earth.

Law of large numbers, you know..

---------
MSFT went up somthing like 300-500 times in the 15 years from 1985-2000. I expect no less from GOOG.....

I know some adsense partners. One guy told me his payouts went up 50% from Q3 to Q4 and another adwords partner told me he paid almost double for keywords this last quarter. Neither of these is a high profile client, very cheap keywords. Still, its a datapoint. But the street is very worried. The market for internet advertising was supposed to be strong enough to carry the weak players msn and yahoo and it cannot. I am holding but will react immediately once the numbers come out.

otoh if GOOG blows out with this weakness in yhoo and msn, its over for everybody but goog and with the size of the mkt what it is, I think we'll get a heck of a pop. BTW there is always weakness before GOOG earnings contrary to the belief that everyone is bullish.
