If the story is true (low odds on that...), then we have Syria over a very big barrel. And, either they would HAND OVER the banned materials to the UN for public destruction, or be subjected to attack to destroy the material, (and likely over turn the ruler). But, I have a feeling that if any of this was true, the US would ALREADY have dozens of Iraqi witnesses lined up, mountains of corrobberating evidence, and this would have all played out in the first year or two after invading Iraq. (Likely though, this guy is more like Challabi --- all mouth and fund-raising, no beef.)
