ele- natural color, not light. it's what moved me to take the photo. i assume it's a different species? than the other surrounding palms. croco might be able to shed some light on that for us? here's another pic i just uploaded that you might like... a "fan palm" in placencia, belize. i don't remember seeing one before. this was two days before christmas... that's why there are decorative lights and bulbs on the little fern tree in front of it to the left. -el
