A physical search means one can go into any place and search in secret. And listening with bugs hidden or otherwise is covered.

No one has made a rational argument that probable cause used for criminal investigation in any way should apply in the case of military intelligence used in war fighting. And the constitution speaks of reasonable and not probable cause when it addresses searches or privacy.

And all the current case law support exactly the policy President Bush has and is and will follow as democrats continue to alienate Americans with their petty idiotic at best and treason at worse attacks on this key security issue.

chinu. You said...."As always lorne, you cannot discern between a physical search and electronic eavesdrop.

In a physical search, the subject is aware of the scrutiny/search. In a electronic eavesdropping it it is "surveillance" and the subject is not aware.
".....

Why sure I can but poor chinu can't...you can't even remember what you say.....here let me refresh you memory.
Here is what you said...Do you see anything about electronic eavesdropping? well of course not and this is why I posted the article to you.

....."Let's hope that the Congressional hearings on domestic spying gets to look at what this spying program was all about, who was spied on etc."....

chinu. Now if you really want to discuss electronic eavesdropping and clinton you can start with this. And do a bit of searching yourself...if you dare, guess what chinu you would find that Bush's Eavesdropping to protect Americans is nothing compared to the outright criminal activity of the clintons.... bet you thought democrats would never do something like that....and not the clintons... LOL LOL

...."The Insight story added that the mis-use of the surveillance for political reasons caused the intelligence sources to reveal the operation.

“The only reason it has come to light is because of concerns raised by high-level sources within federal law-enforcement and intelligence circles that the operation was compromised by politicians—includingmid- and senior-level White House aides—either on behalf of or in support of President Clinton and major donor-friends who helped him and the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, raise money.”

So, during the Clinton Administration, evidence existed (all of the information used in this article was available at the time) that:

-an invasive, extensive domestic eavesdropping program was aimed at every U.S. citizen;

-intelligence agencies were using allies to circumvent constitutional restrictions;

-and the administration was selling at least some secret intelligence for political donations.
