Scott, yes, I think that Bush has checked wiretaps in every way possible. The Attorney General of our land has vetted it as well, and so has the Congress members who have a 'need to know'....

BUT, in as much as possible, I'm sure it will be investigated, and that is a good thing. As long as the non-public info doesn't get leaked so as to tell A-Q and related terrorist groups even more than the NYT and the leakers already have.

Especially since Gore and others have been so vocal, EVEN though they no longer have a 'need to know' and so DON'T know what the intel shows, nor what it has shown.

It makes no sense at all for ANY sitting President to not have the best legal opinions on this in the country. Unless, of course, one is an ideologue, and believes nothing this Administration says. Which, of course, reflects poorly on the people who continually harp and say untruths about our leadership. Including Gore. If he has proof, let him show it.
