I can only choose for myself. My niece may be passé to you, but she is her own person. My sister is no slouch, and my brother in law has done well. They raised their oldest to be independent. She was an El Ed major who was a nanny for two years before teaching for a year in Mali. I refuse to judge her. She appears to believe that her highest achievement is to be an excellent mother. If that is her goal, she is talented enough that she will achieve it. If she changes course, and decides to save the world instead, then she will make a difference in the corner she inhabits. Her fiancé has got a start on that goal.
