The two coming elections 2006 and 2008 might literally save our Republic and Democracy by which it operates. As far as the rightwing is concerned, they have declared both dead and replaced them with Empire and Quasi-Dictatorship. I know the left has always sounded somewhat alarmist about what the Republicans were up to, but this time its for real, American democracy and our way of life hang in the balance.

Okay, we trust them. So what exactly are they doing to extricate us from this mess. How will the US get out of bankruptcy. Why is the US dollar now only $1.17 to the Canadian dollar? Why has the bank of England said the dollar will be devalued. Why is everyone fleeing from it? Why hasn't the Mexican border been secured. Why is Bush still president?
