Thanks for your thoughts Shack. The next couple of weeks should be interesting.

ISE.....you mentioned that some time ago, and I've been looking at it. Seems to tackle my problem with P/C/OI discussions, which I have always...as you may remember...dissed and rejected, on the basis of wholly inadequate data. Find it very interesting that Index not only limited to individuals...but also to their LONG transactions....

One question I'm not clear on......but guess I could find with a little work..gg....how important is total ISE volume (individuals plus MMs and firms) in the overall total of options trading in all exchanges?

Another question on which I can't find any data on ISE site..What is %age share of individuals' long transactions/volume in total transactions/volume ?? May be stretching it, but that would also seem to be a useful stat.

Incidentally....ISE, the stock....fairly interesting lately, and IMO worth watching..

My .02, but you need to follow the commercials too, and they've been pretty bearish on the Nasdaq lately, and not all that wild about the S&P either. Bonds are also diverging from stocks here too, so the alleged "smart" money doesn't appear to be too excited about the rally of the last few weeks.
