Bush's Medicare plan is a disaster and a massive payoff to HMO's and drug companies which have given the GOP tens of millions in contributions for the right to gouge us out of tens of billions in windfall profits. Just like the energy business. Same deal. The only way Bushies got this through the senate was to lie about its cost, underestimating that by 135 billion. Remember? Only after the vote did they fess up. The bill forbids the US government from megotiating for better prices on drugs. That alone is a 250 billion dollar robbery of the American consumer.
