SAN JOSE, CA, United States (UPI) -- British teenager Andy Murray beat top-seeded Andy Roddick in straight sets Saturday in the semifinal round of the $380,000 SAP Open.

Roddick, who lost the final two games of each set, has yet to win a tournament this season.

Murray will be going for his first career title on Sunday.

Third-seeded Lleyton Hewitt beat Vincent Spadea, 6-3, 6-4, in his first tournament final in over a year.

John McEnroe advanced to the finals in doubles action. Teamed with Jonas Bjorkman, the 47-year-old McEnroe defeated the team of Jaroslav Levinsky and Robert Lindstedt, 3-6, 6-4, 10-8, in semifinal play.
