Yes, I saw that story about oil going $200+. It is essentially right on. The only real variable is at what point oil gets so expensive that people just stop using it or switch to alternatives. Remember the powers that be were all telling us in 2005 that oil would soon return to $35/barrel. Yeah, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. Nothing can stop the march for ever more oil demand and it is very unlikely that the supplies can actually keep up with the demand for oil, so the price is going up. An international incident or two will just cause the rise to happen faster.

The worst thing about all this is that our "leaders" in government are essentially doing nothing to prepare us for this eventuality, except crudely attacking and occupying countries in the heart of oil producing regions of the world. What a plan!
