Bush hit 36% in November after being AWOL on Katrina and allowing gas gouging to reach a zenith, then the White House started an all-out PR blitz exploiting our troops, smearing war hero Murtha and fantasizing their "victory" spin, as if any clear victory could be possible in Iraq, especially now that Islamics have been elected and Iran and Palestine have fallen into the hands of fanatics. Bush's PR blitz, including hyping the economy (without mentioning the greatest new deficits in world history) brought him back up to 43%. But now the corruption trials and illegal domestic spying investigations begin. The next few years will be mostly about trying to get to the truth about this utterly corrupt extremist administration and its allies in congress. The GOP therefore has gone into full cover-up and deflect mode.
