Yes, I've heard that the Mexicans do not practice an open border policy with their neighbors to the south. It all comes down to Money$. Mexicans send back $20 Billion per year from the U.S., their 2nd biggest source of income behind oil. Of course, American business also tollerates illegal immigrants because they provide cheap labor and generally keep Americans from demanding too much in the way of benefits.

This arrangement was tollerated before 9/11/01, but now we really have to question if it is a wize policy to let anyone walk into our country. I would favor more legal immigration if there is a need for workers, but there is ample reason to ensure people enter the country legally.
