What makes it look worse is that when the acting DA in Guam/Mariana Islands starting looking into Abramoff's dealings in those countries, Bush had the DA replaced the day after the DA filed a subpoena for records. Bush claimed it was because it was time to have a permanent person at the post, after all the guy had been acting DA for a decade, and the timing was just a coincidence, but...

Oh yeah, the post was filled by a relative of one of the main targets of the investigation.
